3. NORTH CENTRAL REGION
Black Creek Lake and LBJ National Grasslands: Wise County
This is a large area with many ponds, some lakes, and several streams. One stream (Black Creek) is large enough to support a large variety of odes. I would get a map of the area and find places along the flowing creeks and ponds with vegetation.

Brazos River access from US 67: Somervell County
I have checked this crossing out only once. There is a nice set of rapids which makes this area a good possibility of a variety of odes.

Caddo National Grasslands: Fannin County
Another large area with several different habitats for a variety of odes. Once again I would get a map of the area and check out the lakes especially below the dams, ponds throughout the area, and flowing streams.

Clear Creek Corridor Park: Denton County
This trail starts from TX 380 east of Denton and follows the creek north to Lake Ray Roberts. There are also some marshes near the trail especially in southern part. I have no experience in this area.

Rowlett Nature Trail and Park: Dallas County
An area with several trails through a variety of habitats. I did a bird survey there several years ago. I think there is some potential for odes from this area.
